1x Driftwood Estate Single Site Chardonnay 2022
White — Chardonnay
Margaret River — Australia
Pronounced cashew, almost cashew paste. Nutmeg and spice overlay a creamy, rich texture. Whole lemon flesh sits squarely centre-stage with little licks of zest, buttered popcorn, and mineral depth giving it a complex aroma. This is very fine chardonnay, as good as I can remember drinking from Margaret River to be frank. As is so often the case, quality breeds scarcity; this is seriously limited so snap it up.
You’d pay $95 full price.

1x La Bollina Armason Chardonnay 2021
White — Chardonnay
Piedmont — Italy
We know, Italian chardonnay might seem weird to some. We love chardy for being the chameleon grape- wherever it goes, it shines. In fact, it’s become such a success in Italy that it is now the 4th most planted white grape. This isn’t reinventing the wheel here, it’s just a well-made, familiar-in-style, and immensely delicious wine. It sees 40% new oak with periodic battonage (that’s the stirring of the lees in barrel to build texture and complexity). You’ll fine pineapple and tropical fruit, along with hints of chamomile and vanilla, all carried by balanced acidity in an elegant and fresh wine. It’s stylish and Italian, two words which are as synonymous as chardonnay and happiness.
You’d pay $60 full price.

1x Wills Domain The Coveted Chardonnay 2021
White — Chardonnay
Margaret River — Australia
Hazelnut, almond dust, some cashew butter - this has the makings of an iconic Mofo wine. There is a bristle of Myer lemon acid that gathers on the guns and really sets the wine alight. The sheer amount that is going on in this wine is something to behold. While full and rich the freshness prevails throughout; mouthwatering and persistent from start to finish. This Margs chardy through and through.

Marlborough — New Zealand
When it comes to premium chardy, complexity is king. This plays all the shots; tropical melon fruits, grapefruit and mouthwatering citrus, and toasty, buttery, nutty breadth on the palate. Spice box and vanilla mark the quality oak, and the acid persists through the enduring finish. If you're looking for the quintessential NZ chardy, then this is your eureka moment, Mofo.

1x Domaine Vincent Wengier Chablis AOC 2022
White — Chardonnay
Chablis AOC — France
The chardonnays of Chablis are among the greatest white wines in the world. They’re age-worthy, multi-dimensional, and supremely sophisticated (but that doesn’t mean you need to be sophisticated to drink them - trust us, we know from experience). The 2021 Domaine Vincent Wengier has, first and foremost, ripping acidity. It gather’s the wine perfectly and delivers a brilliant, enduring finish. Taste green apple, zesty lime, whole lemon, and a bit of briny maritime salinity on the back-palate. Some lees work gives it real breadth and presence on the palate. It will pair beautifully with creamy pasta, a hearty salad, fatty meats - but it’ll go best with oysters. A bit of salty sea-spray and tart lemon juice will set this wine on fire.
You’d pay $75 full price.

1x Bendigo Hills Cob Cottage Chardonnay 2019
White — Chardonnay
Marlborough — New Zealand
This is full bodied, weighty chardonnay with oomph. Classically styled with bright citrus acidity and tropical nuance. The oak influence gives it a creamy, almost pastry edge, and the ripeness of the fruit fills out the wine giving it palate breadth and structure. A classic wine from an elite producer.
You’d pay $70 full price.
