1x Giesen Clayvin Pinot Noir 2018
Red — Pinot Noir
Marlborough — New Zealand
This is considered one of Marlborough’s most decorated pinot sites. A high-density plantings, from over 30 years ago - now certified organic. Everything here is done with meticulous care, attention and love. From hand picking to basket pressing, to a long ageing of the highest quality French oak for ageing. Once this pinot is ready to set sail, one can be assured of a confident intensity, an elegant restraint and ever present structure. The fruit is classic NZ pinot; primarily strawberry and cherry with an underlying earthiness attributed to the clay soils of the vineyard. An insanely beautiful pinot with incredibly silken texture and length, that has a very long life ahead of it. A pinot given the ‘Rolls Royce’ treatment from vineyard to winery.
“It’s an amazing wine, I think more people should try it” - RR

1x Principia Pinot Noir 2019
Red — Pinot Noir
Mornington Peninsula — Australia
Principia are, in every sense of the word, a Mornington Peninsula Icon - not just for the great wines they have produced, but for their ability to do it every vintage, whatever the conditions may be. This is more pure excellence from one of the great pinot noir regions of the world. A fresh burst of near-confectionary raspberry leads riper, richer strawberries. It is completely classic Mornington Peninsula pinot noir; elegant spice and juicy palate weight framed by fine grain tannin and spiky acidity. Literally mouthwatering.

1x Seville Estate Single Vineyard Series Gembrook Pinot Noir 2021
Red — Pinot Noir
Yarra Valley — Australia
Absolutely stunning. A knockout wine from head to toe. Aromatically enticing right out of the gate. The nose is freshly sweet, Turkish delight and winter strawberry with a confected, coulis style smashed berry mix. Creamy too - maybe a bit of Eaton Mess, all told. When this wine was first reviewed by Halliday there was mention of it being quite tightly wound, but that ball of energy has unfurled now and what remains is an inviting, generous, plush palate of red-fruited bliss. Peppy acidity gives zip and zeal to the juicy fruit - a brilliantly compiled wine that's looking just the part.

1x Brightwater Vineyards Pinot Noir 2020
Red — Pinot Noir
Nelson — New Zealand
Fine boned and elegant Nelson pinot from Brightwater Vineyards. An immediate swirl of tart cherry and pretty florals leaps out of the glass. Those aromatics give way to some more intricate anise, dried rose petal, and a savoury grassiness. There is real delicacy and poise at play. That's not to say the wine itself is without body or palate weight; it's got that in spades. A rich fruit profile gives way to a lasting, brightly acidic and fresh finish.

1x Austins Wines 6ft6 Pinot Noir 2023
Red — Pinot Noir
Geelong — Australia
Fresh and inviting, this will give a lot with just a little swirl in the glass. Raspberry coulis, winter strawberry, some sweet spice, fennel, thistle. The complexity far outpaces its price tag. The wine is structured without sacrificing finesse, which means it's pretty without being thin or wussy.

1x Matahiwi Estate Reserve Pinot Noir 2021
Red — Pinot Noir
Wairarapa — New Zealand
Pinot is a really tough grape to handle at the best of times, let alone when on a budget. Every now and then, though, you do find some gems. This is one of those. Made by the team at Matahiwi, who are known to over-deliver, this pinot does, and then some! Light and bright, it ticks the fruit, complexity and pinosity boxes with a flourish. A firm favourite of our customers and staff, excitement levels get pretty high when Matahiwi enters the building.
