This 98pt museum release 2017 Clonakilla shiraz viognier is nothing short of miraculous. Truly an Australian Grand Cru shiraz (though Aus doesn't have the classification)! Lauded by both critics and punters alike, you know you're in for something special here.

Why do we love this wine?
The Clonakilla team employed judicious hand-picking to ensure only the best berries made it into this knock-out vintage of their archetypal, style-defining shiraz viognier.
Aromatically thrilling, you really do have to smell this wine to comprehend the intensity and purity of fruit! Don't just take our word for it though, Tyson Stelzer even went as far as to say it's “gloriously fragrant and elegant”. The immensely high praise doesn't stop there, with James Halliday giving it 98 points, waxing lyrical about the "superb length and texture", then simply stating this is "Clonakilla at its best".
We reckon it's fascinating to drink now, but if you really want to treat yourself, get a spare case for the cellar and drink by 2037.
