These wines are serious, age-worthy, and - above all - delicious. Fresh red fruit is the hallmark of good Beaujolais, and this has got it in spades. Strawberries, raspberries, sour cherry - a summer feast of red berried brightness. There is a nervy acidity to the wine that gives it energy and vibrancy throughout the journey. It's exciting and punchy. The star of the wine, though, is the complexity of the mineral baseline; ferrous, flinty, smoky, and clearly defined. This is a wine doing several thing excellently and (importantly) in perfect step with one another.
