From an organically managed vineyard, this is big, classic Central Otago pinot, from superstar duo who only craft the best. This wine from the Bendigo subregion is only made in exceptional vintages. A ten day cold soak is followed by small batch fermentation, and all whole berry fruit (no whole bunch) plus only a modicum of oak allows the wine to express place in its best light. Dark fruit, molasses and a smoky nuttiness are all wrapped up in exuberant form, but it’ll show off more layers given time.
