Why do we love this wine?
These two grapes make the perfect running partners. A touch under a quarter of the blend is petit verdot, which brings a delightful aromatic lift and fills out a luscious weight to the palate but the real star of the show is cabernet sauvignon packed full of tight and fine berry fruits, subtle spice from thoughtful oak usage and supple chewy tannins. This is a wine that will shine with a Sunday roast or another 10 years under the belt, that is, if you can keep your hands off it for that long.
