The fruit sits in the cooler space with green apple, lime juice, a bit of under-ripe pear - evidence of an age-worthy wine for sure. A bit of nutty nuance and lemon curd gives shape to the wine mid palate. The hero right now, though, is the scintillating acidity, it rips across the palate, tearing through the finish (another tick in the cellaring column). It's no wonder Halliday anointed this producer Australia's best; it never puts a foot wrong.
